Description:
Visit the Davit-Gareja Monastery Complex, established in the 6th century by David Garejeli, and enjoy the view of the colorful semi-desert mountains. Next, head to the village of Badiauri to taste traditional Georgian bread and cheese. Continue to the Bodbe Monastery Complex, the resting place of St. Nino, who brought Christianity to Georgia. Proceed to the city of Sighnaghi, known as the "City of Love." Founded in the 18th century by King Erekle II, Sighnaghi is surrounded by an 18th-century wall with 23 towers, covering 40 hectares and extending 4 km. From the top of the wall, enjoy breathtaking views of the Alazani Valley with the Caucasus Mountains in the background.
